About Our Cattery

A LITTLE LOVE
GOES A LONG WAY

Can it be 10 years
The past 10 years have been more than challenging! More importantly it was rewarding and victorious! There have been low times with the greatest heights showing unexpectedly and through it all there has been Lil Lisset, myself and the sweetest loving cats one could hope for. We were and are a team as well as our extended family Keith and Ryan with most honorable mention! And now Tanya, Stefani and Lilly! As a family we understand how our pets, especially our cats, are an integral part of coping with the tough times and celebrating the good. The love always unconditional, our pets coax us to leave our heads and put the food in the bowl so to speak!
We started with one cat, Gilberta, to help coax Lil Lisset from a world that was scarry, more challenges than a little one should face. Multiple medical and social challenges were before us and now all that is left is 1 last surgery. Gilberta created the love and interest that started the clapping that communicated Lisseth’s love. Lisseth’s concern over a dog coming too close to her precious kitten caused her to clap, that turned to a vocalization, that turned to a crawl that became a walk that ended in her talk. That 1 cat turned into 2 adding Big Sonny and the love grew! Then kittens and from there the lessons of motherhood, family and letting go. Oh, how pets enhance our lives, they open doors to emotions, to our hearts to friends and family.
Without the people who have purchased our precious kittens our lives looking back would not have landed as well as it has. With deepest gratitude, if you’re one of our kitten alumni know you made a difference in a little one’s life! You made a difference for an entire family, and we appreciate you! We appreciate the great care you have given our kittens; so, we sleep well at night! The stories you have brought to us of your personal love and experiences! Kitten love is from above! YOU ARE OUR EXTENDED FAMILY! Thank you!! 10 years more and the hope that Lil Lisseth will enhance more lives with kitten love from above!
Our search led us to the Minuet breed—a cat known for its loving nature, patience, and strong ability to bond with their humans. Lisseth had the final say, and after careful consideration, we welcomed our first Minuet into our home. Anyone who’s ever had a cat knows what happened next. One cat needed a friend. Then those two needed another friend. Before we knew it, we had four Minuets ruling our household, each bringing their own unique personality and endless joy.
A small, serendipitous mistake changed everything. We hadn’t fixed one of our cats in time, and suddenly, we found ourselves with our first litter of kittens. Watching those tiny bundles of fur grow and seeing the happiness they brought to Lisseth and our entire family sparked something in us. We realized this was more than just a home full of cats—this was a calling. There were so few Minuet breeders in our area, and we felt deeply that others deserved to experience the same love, patience, and joy this breed had given us.
As Lisseth grew older, our passion for these wonderful cats expanded beyond our home. We began showing our Minuets, and Lisseth quickly developed a deep love for the world of cat shows. That passion led her to join the Junior Exhibitor Program with TICA (The International Cat Association), where she began learning the intricacies of showing and judging cats. Her cousin Lilly soon joined her on this journey, and together, they are now working toward becoming certified TICA judges. They travel across the country, assisting judges, participating in competitions, and gaining invaluable skills and confidence as young women.
What started as a search for companionship for Lisseth has blossomed into a family journey filled with love, growth, and a community of fellow cat enthusiasts. Our cattery is built on the foundation of finding that perfect match—just as we found ours with Minuets. We believe every family deserves the same joy these special cats have brought into our lives. Whether you are looking for a loving companion or are interested in showing cats, we would be honored to help you find your perfect Minuet kitten. Because sometimes, the smallest paws leave the biggest prints on our hearts.
The Minuet Standard Breed
The Minuet, previously known as the Napoleon, is a captivating breed known for its charming appearance, affectionate nature, and endearing personality. This breed is a delightful blend of the Persian and Munchkin breeds, resulting in a cat with a luxurious coat and a distinctive stature. Minuets are known for their round faces, large expressive eyes, and short legs, which give them a unique and adorable look.
Standard Minuet and Show Standards: The Standard Minuet is characterized by its short legs, a trait inherited from the Munchkin breed. This feature is the defining characteristic that qualifies the Standard Minuet for cat shows under The International Cat Association (TICA) standards. The breed standard emphasizes:
The breed standard:
-
Body: A well-rounded and sturdy body, giving a cobby appearance.
-
Legs: Short and strong, with straight alignment and well-developed musculature.
-
Head: Round with full cheeks, a short nose, and a gentle curve.
-
Eyes: Large, round, and expressive, often in shades complementing their coat.
-
Ears: Medium to small, rounded at the tips, and set wide apart.
-
Coat: Available in both longhair and shorthair varieties; the coat should be plush, dense, and soft to the touch.
-
Tail: Proportionate to the body, with a plume-like appearance in longhair varieties.
-
Body: Cobby and sturdy, with a well-rounded physique.
-
Legs: Regular length, proportionate to the body.
-
Head, Eyes, Ears, Coat, and Tail: Identical to the Standard Minuet, with the same focus on roundness and plushness.
When showing a Standard Minuet, judges primarily evaluate the balance and proportion of the cat, ensuring that the short legs do not compromise mobility or overall health. The emphasis is on a sweet, rounded expression and a well-maintained coat.
Non-Standard Minuet and Show Standards: The Non-Standard Minuet shares all the same breed characteristics as the Standard, except for one significant difference: it has regular-length legs. While Non-Standard Minuets are not eligible for championship status in TICA shows, they can still participate in Alter (spayed/neutered) and Household Pet classes. These cats are equally cherished for their beauty and temperament, often being the preferred choice for families who love the Minuet's appearance but prefer a cat with a more traditional body structure.
Key attributes of the Non-Standard Minuet include:
-
Body: Cobby and sturdy, with a well-rounded physique.
-
Legs: Regular length, proportionate to the body.
-
Head, Eyes, Ears, Coat, and Tail: Identical to the Standard Minuet, with the same focus on roundness and plushness.
While Non-Standard Minuets may not compete for championship titles, their presence at shows is still celebrated, and they often win hearts with their gentle demeanor and stunning looks.
Both Standard and Non-Standard Minuets are known for their affectionate nature, making them excellent companions. They are gentle with children, adapt well to various household environments, and thrive on human interaction. Whether you are drawn to the show-quality Standard Minuet or the equally lovable Non-Standard Minuet, this breed promises to bring endless joy and companionship to your home.

Our Goals :

Tanya & Steph
Equally important to us is how we raise our cats. Every cat and kitten is first and foremost a beloved pet in our home. We prioritize their well-being by providing proper enrichment, socialization, and care. Our cats are raised alongside children, dogs, and other animals, ensuring they are well-adjusted and confident in various environments. This holistic approach results in kittens that transition easily into their new homes, ready to become cherished members of their families.
Ultimately, our goal is to continue growing as a family, building a cattery that not only produces exceptional Minuets but also fosters a deep respect and love for the breed. We are dedicated to sharing our journey with others and helping more families experience the joy that these wonderful cats bring into our lives.
Our Goals: Growing Together as a Family and Breeding Community

Our journey with Minuets has not only become a passion but also an avenue for growth and opportunity for our entire family. As Lisseth and her cousin Lilly continue their involvement with TICA, they are gaining invaluable hands-on experience that is shaping their futures. Their work with the Junior Exhibitor Program has provided them with the knowledge and confidence to pursue careers in feline judging and the broader cat breeding world. Our goal is to see them develop into respected professionals within TICA, with the hope that their love for cats will continue to guide their paths.
As our family grows, so does our cattery. We are excited to expand our breeding program with the help of our extended family members. Tanya & Stephanie a mother daughter team. They are beginning to open their own bloodlines as extensions of our cattery, ensuring that the high standards we uphold are carried through each generation. This expansion allows us to diversify and strengthen our breeding lines while maintaining the loving and ethical environment we hold dear.
A key part of this expansion involves incorporating Persian bloodlines into our Minuet breeding program. The Persian’s gentle temperament and signature look further enhance the sweet nature and adorable appearance of our Minuets. By carefully selecting and integrating Persian lines, we aim to continue producing kittens that exemplify the best traits of both breeds.
